Edward Mott

Edward Mott, Chief Executive, co-founded Oxford Capital in 1999 and pioneered new venture capital fund structures, opening up the asset class to wealthy families and individuals. He chairs the Investment Committee at Oxford Capital and has built a reputation as a successful venture capital stock picker in the technology sector. With over 30 years of experience as a practical manager and investor, Ted has worked with both mature listed businesses and high growth companies across a multitude of sectors. Ted is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and an INSEAD MBA and is fluent in French and German.

Robin Hill

Robin Hill, Director, is a chartered accountant and an experienced executive, director and consultant, specialising in advising companies in change situations. He has led an international career in the USA, UK, Europe and Australia where he held a number of senior management roles. He was President of Spembly Inc in California, a medical devices company, and has since been Special Adviser to a large digital media company, a Director of the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, CFO of a major global professional services firm and Adviser to World Bank projects in the Middle East.

David Mott

David Mott, Investment Director, is the co-founder of Oxford Capital and has led over 20 venture capital transactions since 1999 in science and technology companies. His investment experience covers a range of sectors, from new media to renewable energy and from medical devices to novel materials. In 2006, he was named Young Venture Capital Personality of the Year at the Investor Allstars Venture Capital Awards and has been cited as one of the rising stars of the UK’s venture capital industry. Previously, at Result Ventures, he focused on advising technology companies on international expansion. Prior to this he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in corporate finance. His early career was as an equities analyst with Jardine Fleming in Asia and later with Deloitte & Touche in London where he trained as an accountant. David holds a BA in Economics and Japanese from the University of Durham. He has worked across Europe and Asia and speaks French, German and Japanese. David regularly competes in triathlons and is a dedicated contemporary art collector.

Richard Hepper

Richard Hepper, Finance Director, is responsible for all aspects of finance, operations and compliance. Prior to joining Oxford Capital, Richard was a Director at Enterprise Ventures, a specialist early-stage venture capital investor, where he had wide responsibility in technology investing,  portfolio management, finance and business development. He began his career with Deloitte where he qualified as a chartered accountant, and subsequently worked with technology strategy consultants Arthur D Little. He also gained valuable experience as a technology investor with 3i plc. Richard is a graduate of Cambridge University, where he studied Economics

Nicholas Selbie

Nicholas Selbie, Non-Executive Director, joined Oxford Capital Partners in 2009. Nicholas is a member of the Appointments Committee. He holds a number of non executive roles in the commercial and charitable sectors. He is Chairman of Aureos, Chairman of the CDC Pension Fund, an adviser to the $100m Actis Africa Agribusiness Fund, Chairman of the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and Treasurer of the Royal Africa Society. He retired in 2005 from Actis and previously he worked in corporate finance in London and New York with Kleinwort Benson and BZW. He was educated at Oxford and London Business School.

Chris Mallows

Chris Mallows, Investment Adviser, is an Investment Adviser with Oxford Capital, bringing to the team international experience, an understanding of financial transactions and practices, an­d the implementation of new technologies in the commercial arena. He has had an international career in investment banking and the securities industry. Following a career with Cazenove, Rowe & Pitman and Warburg Securities he was appointed Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Securities. Chris is a Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute.

Richard Marsh

Richard Marsh, Investment Manager, is responsible for investments in the information and communication technology sectors at Oxford Capital. He is an experienced entrepreneur and business manager. He was previously founder and CEO of Datanomic, a venture based software company in the field of data quality management. Richard holds an MA and a PhD in Engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA from IMD in Switzerland, where he was a Sainsbury Management Fellow.

Rebecca Todd

Rebecca Todd, Investment Manager, is responsible for investments in the life sciences and healthcare sectors at Oxford Capital. Rebecca completed an MBA at the Said Business School, Oxford University, specialising in innovation and entrepreneurship. She has worked as a consultant to both pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Rebecca has a PhD in Genetics from Nottingham University and graduated with first class honours in Biology from the University of York.

Lucy Dighton

Lucy Dighton, Investment Analyst, is responsible for managing new proposals and supporting the investment process at Oxford Capital. A specialist in biotechnology and healthcare, Lucy previously gained experience in technology management with Synaptics UK, a spin-off from Scientific Generics in Cambridge. Lucy graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in Physiological Sciences and is an associate member of the Securities and Investment Institute.

Alastair Stewart

Alastair Stewart, Investment Analyst, is focused on reviewing new funding opportunities in the communications and sustainability sectors. He holds a M.Eng in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, where he also spent much time on the river as a successful coxswain. He is a keen pianist and quiz fan and made an appearance on University Challenge whilst at Magdalen College.

Michael Anstey

Michael Anstey, Investment Analyst, is responsible for reviewing investment opportunities and supporting the Investment Managers at Oxford Capital. Mike’s area of expertise is neuroscience and through his international research experience in Canada, Australia and the UK, has published in a number of top journals including Current Biology and Science. Mike’s specific investment focus at Oxford Capital is on opportunities in the healthcare and sustainability sectors. Mike is a graduate of Queen's University, Canada, where he received a first class BSc(Hons) in Biology and holds a DPhil from the Department of Zoology at the University of Oxford.

Lucy Foster

Lucy Foster, Head of Investor Services and Communications, ­is responsible for Investor Services within Oxford Capital Partners and is also responsible for marketing and communications. Prior to joining Oxford Capital Partners Lucy worked at Asparta Capital, a hedge fund in London. Lucy began her career working in private client services at Union Bancaire Privee and Morgan Stanley Private Wealth management. Lucy graduated from Durham University with a BA in French. In her spare time Lucy enjoys playing tennis and golf and is a keen skier.

Richard Hoskins

Richard Hoskins, Manager Private Client Services, is responsible for building and maintaining Oxford Capital's relationships with financial intermediaries. Following his earlier Army career as an officer in The Royal Green Jackets, Richard worked with Halewood International Futures and Noble Fund Managers. He graduated from Bristol University with a BSc in Zoology and is FSA registered.

Claire Ritchie

Claire Ritchie, Executive PA, provides PA support to the Directors, as well as assisting the Investor Services and Marketing teams. She graduated in Spanish and Marketing from the University of Stirling and also studied Marketing and Business at the University of Cantabria in Northern Spain. Claire’s interests outside of the office include archaeology, translation and music.

Rosie Fickling

Rosie Fickling, Team Assistant, joined Oxford Capital in November 2008. She is responsible for helping Claire Ritchie support the team and manage the Cumnor Hill office. After completing her first year at Edinburgh University with honours she chose to move from formal education and explore on–the-job learning. Rosie has studied all forms of dance and enjoys cooking and doing Yoga in her free time.
