New Private Equity Network launch sponsored by Oxford Capital Partners
Oxford Private Equity Network is the first university wide private equity network in Europe.
Oxford, UK, 30 April 2005 – Oxford Capital Partners, the Oxford based venture capital firm focused on science and technology companies, is pleased to support the launch of OxPEN, the first university-wide private equity network in Europe.
The network has been supported by the Dean of the Said Business School, Anthony Hopwood, and by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford, John Hood, who both spoke at the launch of the network. The aim of this Network is to connect Oxford alumni working in the Private Equity area and allow students to learn about the industry.
Ted Mott of Oxford Capital Partners moderated the discussion on the future of private equity in Europe. The panel speakers included Jonathan Blake of S J Berwin, Chritopher Spray of Atlas Ventures, Robin Jarratt of CVC Capital Partners and Joe Haim of Egon Zehnder International. The keynote address was by Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of the Government of India, and Oxford graduate.
Managing Partner, Ted Mott said: “This event strengthens our relationship with the Said Business School and the University of Oxford in promoting knowledge and discussion of the private equity industry. We believe the network will bring together a high quality group of practitioners and supporters with a common link, Oxford.”
