Oxford Capital Partners shortlisted as House of the Year at BVCA Real Deals Private Equity Awards

Oxford Capital Partners short listed for House of the Year at The Private Equity Awards 2006.

Oxford, UK, 20th March 2006
It has been announced by The Private Equity Awards 2006 that Oxford Capital Partners has been short listed for the House of the Year Award.

The Private Equity Awards, which recognise the very best achievements of individuals and firms working within Venture Capital and Private Equity, are presented by the British Venture Capital Association and Real Deals. The annual awards are regarded by many as the ultimate accolade for the industry’s deal makers and advisors.

The judging panel selected Oxford Capital Partners on the basis of overall performance, with particular focus on the range and quality of deals, the return on investment generated for investors, expansion of the business and general contribution to entrepreneurship.

Edward Mott, Chief Executive of Oxford Capital Partners, said “In Europe the ‘herd’ of investors is focused on the buyout sector allowing a niche investor like Oxford Capital Partners to stand out as the only pure venture firm in this shortlist. Our team has helped unearth many exciting technology companies and works tirelessly to make them international leaders. We are delighted to be short listed for this award.”

Also nominated are 3i, the Matrix Group and Pheonix Equity Partners. The winner will be announced at the Awards ceremony and dinner on Thursday 27th April 2006 held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Oxford Capital Partners were voted Venture Capital House of the Year by the Unquote Private Equity Awards in December 2005 and were nominated for Early Stage Investor of the Year at the UK Technology Innovation and Growth Awards in 2006.
