Oxford Capital Partners invests in Application Developments

Oxford, UK, 28th July 2006

Oxford Capital Partners, the Oxford based venture capital firm focused on emerging European science and technology, has announced its investment in Application Developments plc, an Ofex listed company specialising in innovative stock, asset and security management software solutions and labelling solutions.

The Placing of 1,490,000 new ordinary shares raised approximately £596,000 of which Oxford Capital Partners has contributed more than half the capital subscribed.

Application Developments plc was founded in 1995 and operates in three divisions. The first division designs and assembles equipment for automating logistical processes. The second division handles the supply of consumable products which are used in these logistical processes. The third division is the InventRis range of products, launched in 2005, which use in-house software and engineering skills to develop cost competitive wireless and web based stock management systems.

Existing customers include hospital trusts, local authorities and a number of blue chip companies in the UK and overseas. Application Developments plc has the significant advantage of being able to deliver flexible, scaleable and easy to implement software solutions which solve potentially complex customer needs in a cost efficient way.

The funds raised through this investment round will be used to develop further the InventRis product line to include e-commerce functionality and supply chain management options, which will widen the market for the software.
